© It seems that hardly a day goes by when there isn't a new web site launched offering fruit machine guides or information. While this is generally good for everyone, it does have some potential problems.

Namely when these web sites simply rip off content from other sites.

Anyone taking information from this site (which includes such things as our player guides, reel band images (excluding those linked from other sites and credited accordingly), FAQ's, myths, poll results etc.) will be given an acceptable warning, as required by law.

If after that time the copyrighted material is not withdrawn, legal action will be taken to protect our copyright. Web masters should also note that it is now relatively simple to get a web site shut down (or terminated) if it is found to be in breach of copyright.

Unless you wish to lose your entire web site (perhaps without notice if you're using a web site hosting service), you should ensure that you have the permission of the copyright owner before putting any material on your site.

The UK Fruit Machine Pages will also work with other established fruit machine web sites to jointly protect content that is illegally distributed (e.g. content from sites that charge a membership fee).

Update: We've been monitoring the auction sites for some time (most significantly eBay) and have noticed that a lot of people have stolen images and text from our site when selling refill keys. We've also investigated and found that at least one person is supplying copies of our very own user guides, which is also blatant copyright theft.

If you are one of these people, we will continue to monitor your actions and have already registered our concern with eBay in order to make future legal action quicker for us to initiate.

UPDATE: PLEASE NOTE THAT EVEN THOUGH WE HAVE NOW REMOVED OUR ARCHIVED GUIDES, THEY ARE NOT PUBLIC DOMAIN. ANYONE WHO RE-DISTRIBUTES THEM OR SELLS THEM WILL STILL BE PROSECUTED FOR COPYRIGHT THEFT.
